Where We Gather, HE is There

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.

This week has had fun, worship, and celebration times bringing together people to study His Word, to fellowship, and to celebrate.

Wednesday nights are Bible Study and this week we were going to start with a bonfire.  The wood was all stacked up when it began to rain.  So the firs was lit to keep the wood from getting to wet.  It all worked out just fine.  The fire was still going when we began out potluck dinner, and kept going as we ate, prayed, sang, and roasted real marshmallows.  Then we moved inside for Bible study and discussion.

Friday we gathered together again to celebrate Azariah Sammons' birthday and Jabali's (which is on the 16th).  Azariah was turning two and Jabali will be three.  Bekah made the cutest fish cupcakes and everyone gathered outside to sing and enjoy.  The two birthday boys waited fairly patiently while we sang before diving into their cupcakes.

Jenny did not want anyone to touch her cupcake, not even to help her get the paper off of it.  I finally managed to get most of it off, which made part of the cupcake break off and fall to the ground - but no matter, it would get eaten.

Some of the others finishing up their treats.  Frosting was on faces and hands and clothes, but they certainly enjoyed every bite!  The older toddlers played with Azariah's new toy, a T-ball set.

Dakota took a picture of me holding Brady, who at this point was not too impressed.  People gathered together who worship the same Lord and Savior, having time to study, and to celebrate, and to be in His holy presence.  As much joy as these times bring to us, how much more they bring to our Heavenly Father.
