My First Good-Bye

I have only known Liam for a little over two months, but missed his presence in the playroom this afternoon.  Liam left this morning with his grandfather to be reunited with his grandmother and other family members.   On Friday morning I sat on the steps sharing my popcorn snack with Kennedy, Jabali, Moses, and Liam.  Liam would wait patiently for his turn, but his hands were always ready for his next piece.

Friday afternoon we had a going away party for Liam.  We gathered together to celebrate the reuniting of this family, God's plan, and to say good-bye.  Here is Liam sitting on his grandfather's lap.  We had biscuits (cookies), juice, and popcorn for snacks.

Liam's HCO family and his family gather for a picture.  I hope Brie got a shot with everyone looking in one direction!

Auntie Mary and Alysha play with Liam after the party.  Everyone grows attached to these little ones so it is difficult to say good-bye.  We pray that God will guide and protect Liam and his family.  God promises us He has a plan for each of us and we can trust Him to watch over Liam.

This is a bench full of mischief and smiles - Kennedy, Moses, Liam, Azi, and Jabali pose together.

Saturday morning the van was readied and Liam left us.  This is what this ministry is about - redemption, reunion, and rejoicing in the Lord's work.

" It is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure." Philippians 2:13
