A Little Change of Pace

We are being renewed, day by day.  Walking in the ways of the Lord and seeking to please Him, focusing on each day and moment, we know He keeps His promises.  Throughout our lives He works in us to transform us.  (2 Corinthians 4:16)

He also sends us renewal in ways that touch our daily lives and give us what we need.  I am content with my girls and life at the baby house, but it was nice to have a little break last week.  Trena was leaving for America on Thursday, so the "grown-up girls" went along to Nairobi.

First stop was the Maasai Market at the Junction, a large mall.  The market is there on Thursdays.

I walked through the market and did a lot of looking, but no shopping this time.   The stalls sell jewelry, baskets, skirts, and many other items.  It is a good place to shop if you are looking for a souvenir as a tourist or items that are representative of Kenya.

After walking through the market we went to have frozen yogurt - yummy treat.  We had lunch at a nice restaurant before dropping Trena off at the guest house where she had gotten a room for the day, until it would be time for her to go to the airport with her two daughters.

It was a fun day and having just a little change in the schedule was renewing.  Looking forward to going back again - maybe the next time I will actually do shopping!
