Endless

The end is nowhere in sight.
This day seems endless.
Endless love.
Wishing the end of vacation would never come.
Thinking the last two days of school will never end.
We may think of endless as negative or positive depending on the day, the situation, or who we are thinking about. Warning - this post may be endless.

My time here in Nakuru has gone so quickly and I am very aware that the end is approaching quickly.  My ministry here is not endless - it is finite.  My ministry and service to my Lord will continue, just not in this place with these people.  

Blogging has not been foremost in my thoughts this past month - although I didn't start March with the intent of waiting until its final days to post.  Let's do a little catching up....

 Near the end of February the Tuesday homeschool group came to the baby house for a lesson from Mr. Troy (dad to three of my girls and a vet).
Here Lucy listens and watches as he talks about how the puppy breathes. They all had a great time playing with the puppies, listening to them breath and listening to their heart beats with the stethoscope.

The puppies belong to Trena's dog, and they certainly got plenty of love on this day.

 Mr. Troy also brought out the calf.  Each child had the opportunity to use the stethoscope to listen to the calf breath, and some heard the rumblings of its stomach.  An opportunity to learn more about God's creatures, how to care for them, and to enjoy playing with some too.

I enjoyed some of God's creation also.  Safari to Lake Nakuru Park.  It seemed like some animals just wanted to pose for a picture, especially in the early morning when we first started driving around.

The rhino wandered in front of us and also paused for a moment.

OK, It was crazy dress Friday....but they are beautiful and sweet no matter what they are wearing.  We also had a Dr. Seuss day...

The girls enjoyed a week of books, rhymes, and videos of Dr. Seuss.  We ended the week by coming to school as a character from one of the stories.

Teaching is why I came, that is my ministry, and what a joy it has been to spend this time here as the teacher for these five girls.  They make every day a special, fun, crazy day - and I am thankful for every moment of each one.

We have celebrated Brenda's first birthday and the new families formed.  Jenny and Gloria became part of forever families on the same weekend.

 Above Brenda enjoying her cupcake.  Gloria with her new mom.  Below is Jenny with her new mom and dad.  Jenny would also meet two new siblings when she arrived at her new home.  Both families were so fun to watch with their new children.  The families arrived on Friday and left on Monday, but there was no doubt that the girls were with the right parents.  (Jenny was very quickly a daddy's girl.)                                                          


So I said good-bye to my special girl, Gloria - but happy she will have a forever mom.

The love and grace of God is endless - His presence with us is endless - His blessings for us are endless - and the memories of my heart will be endless even if the time here is not.
