"I have called you by name" "God is love" "Love is from God" - Watching everything that was going on today these words from Scripture seemed so appropriate. The girls worked and played through the morning, we read verses about Jesus as our friend and how He teaches us to be good friends.
The girls played some 'minute to win it' games, with no official winner ever declared. We played Valentine bingo, dominoes, raced with a heart shape between our knees, ran for hearts, tried to tear a heart shape out of paper held behind our backs, saw who could build the biggest tower of candy hearts, and tried to hold a heart up on a straw.
After games the girls ate lunch and then their younger siblings and the four older children of Haven of Hope joined us to open Valentines. Azzy, younger brother of three of my girls, next to him is Jenny, then Moses, and finally Kennedy.
Last but not least were the cupcakes shared with aunties and all to celebrate Tabby's first birthday.
God's love was evident in our day and we pray His love surrounds these children and this place always.
Happy Valentine's Day!!
***(If you read this post earlier, or the post on Facebook, a change happened-sadly the family decided to not adopt Moses. Moses will remain with us at Haven of Hope)
