And Then.....

Lots of little things and lots of busy-ness have added up to the last three weeks.  Now I find myself looking at crates and stacks of things to pack for returning to the states, an empty classroom, and the last days of being a part of this ministry.

The last full week of May was a four day week of class.  The Sammons were off to find out more about the next possible place they might go to continue their ministry, but the girls stayed here.  Lucy was off to America so our group was one less.  Dakota, Kate, and Hope each took a turn spending a night at the baby house with me.  On Friday I had the day to myself to do some cleaning and baking.  Saturday, May 30, was the day that the team of Kevin, Jill, Dave, and Jennifer stopped to visit for a night.  They were on their way to Migori for the week to pass out bed nets.  It was fun to share a little about life here, about the ministry of Haven of Hope, and to introduce them to babies.  Trena came over on Sunday morning before they left - Kevin, Jennifer Jill, their driver Paul, Dave, Me, Julia, Trena, and Josie.

I was able to contact the team from Salem that was working in Nakuru and made a quick stop to say hello to them on Friday, June 5.

The best thing during this last week of school was the arrival of a new baby boy.  He came at night so I was blessed to receive him into Haven of Hope with Auntie Emily.  He was named Ray by the aunties because we had visitors for that night and the next day, so the baby was named for one of the visitors.  The first picture is baby Ray with Mr. Ray and his wife Amy on Tuesday morning.

 On Tuesday Jude was leaving Haven of Hope to be reunited with his mother.  Mr. Ray, baby Ray, Kate, Julia holding Jude, Dakota, and Josie.

On Saturday, June 6, we drove to Lizzy's school for family day.  There were 9 of us altogether who went on the visit.  One was Lizzy's favorite baby, Brady.

Sunday was worship with Trena and her two visitors.  We drove to Sunbird, overlooking Lake Elementaita for lunch.  We drove a little more to seek out some shopping in Naivasha, but ended up empty handed on that.  Julia and Josie enjoyed the stop though by riding on the little train, jumping in a bouncy house, and Julia rode in a little paddle boat.  One more stop and it was back to Nakuru.

 Miss Karen and her daughter, Miss Kenzie were super helpers at the baby house.  It was so fun to have them staying there for the two weeks they visited Trena.

Haven't even gotten to this past week - safari and the tale of the baboon, final open house, dedication of the new water well, and Moses going home with his family.......
